Ran across the site for the St. Louis Writers Guild today. It looked pretty packed with useful info, whether you’re a writer looking for a group, in the process of creating a website, or just in need of some valuable writing resources, they have something here to get you going.
I came across this blog entry today by Garrett Santos and thought I’d pass it on:
Grassroots Publishing Co., Inc. is planing to launch a new magazine: Love Story Magazine. They’re currently accepting short story submissions, and they’re paying $300 upon acceptance and publication.
Check out their submission guidelines.
I was surfing today and ran onto a site: www.fullbooks.com. For those of you who love to read, don’t mind doing it online and like freebies, this site’s certainly worth checking out.
Another one like it is www.bibliomania.com. Click on Read and choose what you want to read: articles, fiction, poetry, etc. It’s also free.
Likewise: http://bartleby.com
Moonlighting Cards has now opened their door to freelance ideas for the first time ever. Their cards are inspirational, quirky, and funny.
Get their submission guidelines here. Who knows? Your ideas may be just what they’re looking for.

I attended a writer’s conference this past weekend -www.reddirtbookfestival.org – that got me so motivated, I came home and started creating a really workable office for myself to get in the right frame of mind. (Yeah, it sounds a little thin even to my ears, but hey, whatever you can make work for you…)
Below are some pics of what I’ve been doing today.
